Funeral Services for Edward R. Ball Sr. will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 17, 2018 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 250 Bowhall Road, Painesville Township.  Rev. Paul D. Sundbom will officiate.  Family and friends may call 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Friday, November 16th at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio.

Mr. Ball was born March 7, 1931 to Isaac and Ruby (Poling) Ball, in St. George, West Virginia.  He passed away November 12, 2018 at Mentor Ridge Health and Rehab Center in Mentor.

Edward was a volunteer for the Perry Fire Department for over 13 years.  Through the years, he was employed at Champion Nursery, Ohio Rubber, IRC Fibers, and retired from Avery Dennison.   Edward was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.  He loved to go camping and traveling, and he enjoyed landscaping.  Most important in his life was his family, especially his grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Edward is survived by his daughters, Carolyn (Steve) Kallay and Sylvia J. Phillips; sons, Louis K. (Judy) Ball and Edward R. Ball Jr.; grandchildren, Greg, Marc, Laura, Steve, Eric, Neal, John, and Duane;  great grandchildren, Kyle, Kristoffer, Allyson, Kendall, Kerek, Marc Jr., Logan, Angelik, Cheyenne, Joe, Steven, Peyton, Gavin, Tanner, Austin, Zak, Jacob, Caleb, Travis,  Allora,  William and four great-great grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty (Smith) Ball; his parents; brothers, Hayward Ball, Harold Ball and Ralph Ball; grandson, Kasey Young and great grandson Blake Phillips.
