Mass of Christian Burial for Edward J. Henckel age 80 of Concord Twp. will be Thursday 10:00 am at St. Gabriel Catholic Church 9935 Johnnycake Ridge Rd. Concord Twp. Family and friends will be received from 6-8 pm Tuesday and 2-4 and 6-8 pm Wednesday at the Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home 667 Mentor Ave. Painesville. Burial will be in Perry Cemetery. Born September 3, 1933 in Ohiopyle PA Passed away August 24, 2014 at his daughters home in Eastlake surrounded by his family Edward Co owned with his son Phase III Auto Body in Painesville and was previously employed by Anchor Hocking Glass in PA, and Lincoln Electric for 40 years. He served in the US Army and was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church where he served as an usher for 24 years. He was a member of American Legion He was a member of the "Country Grass" Band for 15 years he was a guitar player and a singer and song writer of country and bluegrass music. Survivors; His wife of 58 years whom he met in High School Violet F. (Soliday) Henckel Son Rodney (Nancy) Henckel Daughters, Kimberley (Randall) Henckel-Inzano Renee (Rodney) Ely 6 Grandchildren Angel Ray, Michelle, Matthew, and Melissa Ferron, Edward and Chad Ely and 4 great grandchildren Kaden, Braylen, Kinsley Ray, Brooklynne Tankovich He was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Dora (Little) Henckel and brother Lawrence Henckel and a sister Ruby Maddas, great grand son Timothy Michael Ferron Contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children Hospital PO Box 1000 Dept 142 Memphis TN 38101-9908
