Mass of Christian Burial for Eleanor B. Polewchak will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, April 29th at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 523 Plum Street, Fairport Harbor, Ohio.   Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Mrs. Polewchak was born in Cleveland, March 4, 1923 to George and Susan (Hefler) Boros.  She passed away March 30, 2017 at Altercare of Mentor.

Eleanor attended St. Margaret of Hungary Elementary School and graduated from John Hay High School in Cleveland.  She lived in Cleveland until 1946 when she moved to Painesville.  She was employed by I R C Fibers (Rayon Manufacturing) for many years and worked as a barmaid at the VFWs in Fairport and Painesville.  Eleanor was active in the Buckeye Road Hungarian Community.

Eleanor had a zest for life, loved to travel and welcomed new experiences.  She visited the 1964-65 World's Fair in New York and traveled across the United States. Even at the age of 94, Eleanor maintained a keen sense of humor and a high level of mental agility. We celebrate her life.

She is survived by many dear friends and by her cousins, Sharon (Edward Bansch) Orosz of Bradley Beach, NJ, Donna (William Radcliffe) Kravitz of Oxford, PA, and David (Donna) Orosz of Celebration, FL.
