Graveside services for Eleanor Jean "Ellie" James will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 17th in Division 18, Lot 402, Grave 1, at Riverside Cemetery, 385 Riverside Drive, Painesville.

Eleanor was born April 7, 1935 in Bannock, Ohio and passed away June 14, 2017 at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights.

Ellie was the office administrator for the Lake County Public Defender's Office for many years.   She was an avid reader and loved spending time with her grandson, Aaron. She also enjoyed spending time with her husband in Florida.

Ellie is survived by her husband, Charles W. "Jesse" James, who she married, September 30, 1961; daughter, Lisa E.  James-Adams; and grandson, Aaron J. Adams.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Grace (Szerdy) Kanocz; and brother, Alex W. Kanocz.
