Eleanore McGuckin, age 98, passed away March 18, 2026, at her residence in Mentor, Ohio.  She was born November 4, 1927, in Maspeth, New York to Harry Loeffler and Catherine (Vesta) Loeffler.

Eleanore was a bridal consultant and worked for Modern Deb for many years.   She was also a sales associate for Fashion Town and a receptionist for Weight Watchers for 31 years.  She was a member of the Emblem Club at the Elks in Painesville and a Red Cross volunteer.

Eleanore is survived by her sons, Daniel (Sandra) McGuckin of Mentor and John (Rita) McGuckin of Myrtle Beach, SC.; daughter, Kathi (Jerry) O'Shea of Bluffton, SC.  Grandchildren, Crislyn Lumia, David DeMasi, Sean McGuckin, Siobhan Carter, Caitlin McGuckin-Krassow, Kathleen Barter, Maureen McGuire and Kevin O'Shea; fourteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John E. McGuckin in 2007; brothers, Harold Stone and Daniel Steinbacker; sister, Frieda Bedell and her parents.

Friends and family will be received 2:00 - 4:00 PM and 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio.  Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, on Friday, March 27th at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Knollwood Cemetery.
