Private Graveside services were held for Eli Saari age 95 at Al Souls Cemetery in Chardon. Eli passed away January 9, 2016 at Ivy House Assisted Living in Painesville he was the son of Jacob and Mary Saari born on August 27, 1920 in Fairport Harbor. Eli was employed by the former Diamond Shamrock from 1947-1975 when he retired he was also employed by the Holden Arboretum for several years. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps Survivors: Sons, Albert Saari of Painesville Stephen Saari of Painesville Grandchildren, Sean (Kerri) Saari, Beth (Kevin) McCusker, Stephanie (John) Solich, Chris (Jennifer) Saari Great Grandchildren, Charlie McCusker, Meghan and Leia Solich, Lindsey and Turner Saari Jack and Paige Saari Preceded in death by his wife Agnes in 2011 , Son Richard Saari and ten brothers and sisters Step Mother Mary Pavola
