Eliisa (Kozsey) Baum, age 77, formerly of Fairport Harbor, passed away peacefully after battling a long illness, on September 23, 2025, with her family at her side. She was born May 19, 1948, in Painesville.
Eliisa worked as Administrative Assistant for the Village of Fairport Harbor for over 27 years, retiring in 2008.
Her greatest love was spending time with her family. She also loved animals, especially cats and she had many fur-babies over the years.
Eliisa is survived by her sons, Richard (Kristen) Hambor of Baltimore, Maryland and Daniel Hambor of Fairport Harbor, Ohio. Her grandchildren, Millicent, Jake, Braeden, Zak, and Cooper; brothers, Lee (Lucille) Kozsey of Bethlehem, PA. and Michael (Terri) Kozsey of Willowick; many nieces and nephews; dear friend, Melissa Lepisto-Doeing and her children, Patience and Trystun.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony Kozsey and Helen T. (Herpy) Kozsey; brother, Richard Lewis; sister, Jeanette Potts; and niece, Jennifer Kozsey.
Friends will be received 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Fairport Harbor. Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 12:00 Noon.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her memory to St. Anthony's Church, 316 Fifth Street, Fairport Harbor, Ohio 44077.
