Mass of Christian Burial for Elizabeth G. "Betty" Zatorske, age 94, will be 11:00 am Thursday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church 521 Plum Street Fairport Harbor where friends will be received from 10:00 am to 11:00am Thursday.
A lifetime Fairport Harbor resident, Betty was born on March 7, 1921 in Fairport Harbor. She passed away on July 7, 2015 at Homestead II Nursing Home in Painesville.
She graduated from Fairport Harding High School, class of 1939
Mrs. Zatorske worked in the Coning Dept. of IRC Fibers and also worked for the former Colgrove's Drug Store in Fairport Harbor.
Betty was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society, the Fairport Harbor Lighthouse Historical Society, the Fairport Senior Center, and the Fairport Harding High Alumni Assn.
Betty loved to bake and cook great traditional Hungarian meals.
She is survived by her sister, Maryann Szuhay of Texas Several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews also survive
Preceded in death by, Husband, Steve Zatorske in 1989 Parents, Joseph and Elizabeth (Ladany) Vayo Sisters, Helen Bezzeg, Margaret Lakatos, and Elizabeth Vayo Brothers, Joseph and John Vayo
Internment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Painesville
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Betty's memory may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, Northeast Ohio Affiliate, 26210 Emery Rd., Cleveland, OH 44128
Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
