Ellen Blackhart, age 97, passed away peacefully, March 3, 2021 at Grand River Health and Rehab Center in Painesville.  She was born October 2, 1923 in North Kingsville to Anthony and Mary (Bucci) Dilisio.

Ellen moved to Painesville shortly after her birth and has lived here most of her life.  She was a member of St. Mary Church, a prior member of the Altar and Rosary Guild and the Pompeii Club. Ellen was a 1942 graduate of Harvey High School.  Upon graduation she worked as a nurse's aid at Lake East Hospital.  She was later employed by the F. W. Woolworth Company and then went back to Lake East Hospital to work in the dietary department, where she worked until 1983.  She then had various jobs as a heath care aid, helping the elderly in their homes after they were released from the hospital.

She is survived by her children, G. Howard Pohl, Anthony (Barb) Pohl, Elaine (Craig) Urban and Sally (Jim O'Tier) Pohl; grandchildren, Frank Pohl, John Pohl, Kelly Urban, Stacey Urban (Lawson White), Mike Pohl, Laura (Mike) Nolan, Angel Pohl (Rob) Bittinger and Nick Pohl; great-grandchildren, Marisa Pohl, Logan Urban, Lawson and Nathan White, Matthew Toth, Paige and Rini Bittinger; brother, George (Cherie) Dilisio.

Ellen was preceded in death by her first husband, Gordon Pohl in 1966; her second husband, Gale Blackhart in 1982; her parents; brothers, Dan and Joe Dilisio; sister, Gloria Wharram.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM Monday, March 8, 2021 at St Mary Church, 242 North State Street, Painesville.   Friends will be received 10:00 AM until 10:30 AM Monday at Church.
