Funeral services for Ethel E. (Kertesz) Takacs, age 80, will be 12:00 PM. Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio.  Family and friends will be received 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM, one hour before the service at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Ethel was born September 18, 1937 in Ricse, Hungary to Steve and Elizabeth Kertesz.  She passed away August 12, 2018 at her residence in Painesville.

Ethel moved here from Hungary in 1959.  She was employed by Fasson for many years as a lab technician.  She loved gardening, cooking and helping people.

She is survived by her husband, Gustave Takacs, to whom she was married for over 60 years; son Frank Takacs; daughter, Nicole Goff; Grandchildren, Eric Takacs, Michael Goff, Shawna Goff and Andrew Takacs; seven great-grandchildren.

Ethel was preceded in death by her son, Steven Takacs; her parents; one sister and one brother.
