(Winters) Stuermer
July 28, 1934 – April 9, 2023
Evelyn Stuermer, age 88, of Perry, died peacefully April 9, 2023, at Hospice of the Western Reserve in Euclid. She was born July 28, 1934, in Cadiz, Ohio to Albert and Dorothy Winters.
Evelyn graduated from Harvey High School and began her career in 1952 at Carlisle's in Painesville. She worked as a Buyer, Assistant Buyer, and Sales Manager, all in women's clothing, retiring after 50 years. Those that were fortunate to have her assistance there, knew her forte in picking just the right outfit! She knew what real suggestion selling meant and that is where she shined. A real pro, setting multiple sales records over the course of her career.
Evelyn was a member of the Business and Professional Women's Club, the Emblem Club, and the Carlisle's Bowling Team. She was a passionate traveler, taking over 21 cruises visiting many countries around the world. Evelyn loved to sew, bake, and sketch. Her balish and other baked goods were crowd pleasers at the fire station.
Evelyn is survived by her sister, Donna Hall of Geneva; children, Stephen Butsko (Regina) of Perry, Pam Raack (Bob) of Cleveland Heights, Marcia Stuermer (Peter) of San Francisco, CA., Valerie Willick (Dave) of Hopewell, NJ.; grandchildren, Andrew Butsko (Portia), Kevin Butsko (Karrah), Nina Butsko, Taylor Raack (Ting Ting), Claire Raack, Ian Willick and Allison Willick; great grandchildren, Hannah and Hallie Norton, Andrew and Matteo Butsko.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Andrew Butsko; second husband, Karl Stuermer; parents, Albert and Dorothy Winters; eight sisters and two brothers.
Friends will be received 4:00 – 7:00 PM, Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio. Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM, Friday, April 14th at the funeral home.
