Memorial services for Florence E. Alden, age 92, will be 11:00 am Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church 242 North State Street Painesville. Friends will be received from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Tuesday at the Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home 667 Mentor Ave. Painesville. A lifetime Painesville resident, Florence was born on March 24, 1924 and passed away on April 22, 2016 at TriPoint Medical Center in Concord Twp. She graduated from St. Mary Catholic Elementary School and in 1942 graduated from Harvey High School.Florence worked for the former Gail G. Grant Dept. Store  and later in the Circulation Dept.  of the former Painesville Telegraph.She was a member of St. Mary Church and enjoyed horse racing and gambling.

Mrs. Alden is survived by,Children,John (Nancy) Alden of North Carolina;Jim (Sandy) Alden, Sr. of Painesville Twp.; Marianne Alden of Leroy; and Judy (Dan) Plageman of Painesville

Grandchildren,Doug Alden, Cathy Alden-Brazaukas, Joe Alden, Jim Alden, Jr., Jason Alden, and Victoria Plageman; and Great Grandchildren, Jeffrey and Joseph Alden; and Brother, Raymond Miller of Willowick;

Preceded in death by, Husband, Clarence Alden in 1973; Parents, Joseph F. and Elizabeth (Ondus) Miller; and Sister, Evelyn Hammett.
