Funeral services for Florence "Flo" Eva Welch, age 91 will be 11:00 am Friday at Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home 667 Mentor Ave. Painesville with Rev. Janet Mers officiating. Friends will be received from 5:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home.

A Madison resident and formerly of Perry and Painesville, Florence was born on October 23, 1923 in Perry. She passed away on May 3, 2015 at Heather Hill in Chardon.

Florence belonged to the Perry Christian Church where she was a member of the "Happy Hookers" hooking loomed rugs.

She enjoyed listening to music such as polkas and hymns, cooking and baking, going to flee markets and garage sales, playing bingo, picking strawberries, decorating for the holidays, and spending time with her family.

Throughout her lifetime she worked as a Care Taker of Perry Park and as a Custodian of Jackson Towers in Painesville, as well as, being a devoted mother and home maker.

Sons, David (Bonnie) Welch of Erie, PA

Gary (Kathy) Welch of Austinburg

Daughter, Darlene (William) Farren of Painesville

Sister, Lois Hall of Tennessee

Several grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive

Preceded in death by,

Husband, Wayne Welch in 1990

Son, Charles Welch in 2012

Parents, George and Mildred (Downing) Frost

Siblings, Georgia Belk, Helen Meek, Lloyd Frost and an infant, June Frost

Interment will be in Perry Cemetery

She was a light to anyone who knew her by always having a smile on her face and having such a positive outlook on life. She will greatly be missed by many.
