Francis Martin, age 58, passed away July 30, 2023, in Painesville.  He was born July 9, 1965, in Cleveland to Raymond J. and Carolyn (Sidley) Martin.

Francis was a software engineer and was self-employed.

He enjoyed planning trips and experiences for his family, teaching and educating others on what was important to him, encouraging his children to pursue their passions, sharing his favorite movies and TV shows with his kids, and having backyard bonfires on summer nights. Smaller but not insignificant things he also enjoyed were the band Rush, green tea, creating the perfect Christmas, reading informational signs at historical sights, and collecting souvenirs from every location he visited with his family.

Francis is survived by his wife, Erica Martin; children, Eric Martin, Mary (Robert) Pfeiff, Grace Martin and Lily Martin; sister, Ellen Martin.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 3, 2023, at St. Bede the Venerable Catholic Church, 9114 Lakeshore Blvd., Mentor, Ohio.  PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH.   Burial will be at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon.
