Obituary

Frank was born on January 17, 1925 and will be missed by his wife of 68 years, Dorothy Sheley Laymon; his children, Debora (Joseph) Hooper, Kevin (Diane) Laymon, Robin (Pamela) Laymon; his grandchildren, Breanne (Brian) Byrd, Jacob Hooper, Brittany (Jesse) Zabkar, Kristin Laymon, Kurt Laymon, Daniel Laymon, Kyle Laymon, Adam Laymon, Alex Laymon; and two great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Richard Laymon and Ralph Laymon Jr.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Wreatha Laymon; 5 brothers, Harry Dale Laymon, Leroy Laymon, Gene Laymon, Clifford Laymon and Glenn Raymond Laymon; and 3 sisters Marjorie Tolliver, Betty Cummings and Sara Mae Lewis.

He served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. As a veteran he returned home, married his sweetheart, and attended Wilmington College and Miami University. He worked at Diamond Shamrock for many years as a chemist. As an avid baseball fan, he managed and coached teams for Little League, Senior Little League, and Men's softball, and umpired in multiple leagues for many years.

Calling hours will be 4-6 p.m. on Friday, April 17, 2015 at Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Ave., Painesville, Ohio, with a memorial service at 6 p.m. on Friday. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery at 10:00 am Saturday.
