Graveside services for Fred E. Kochever, age 92 will be 11:00 am Tuesday at St. Mary Cemetery South State St. Painesville. The son of John and Theresa (Shetina) Kochever was born on August 14, 1922 in Garrett, Pennsylvania. He passed away peacefully on June 10, 2015 at his residence in Painesville Twp. with his son at his side.

Fred served in the US Coast Guard/US Navy during World War II. He served on the USS Racine in the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre. He retired after 25 yrs. as an operator for the former A.E. Staley Co. in Grand River. He was also employed by the former Diamond Shamrock Company.

Fred played Basketball and softball into his 70's. He also enjoyed bowling, golfing he was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a member of the American-Slovenian Club in Fairport Harbor. He is survived by, Son, Dennis Kochever of Painesville Grandchildren, Denny, Dirk, David, and Brittany Kochever
