Memorial services for Gary Gifford Sweetapple, age 60, will be 7:00 pm Thursday at Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home 667 Mentor Ave. Painesville with Pastor Terry Weyman of the Painesville Church of the Nazarene officiating. Friends will be received from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home. A 3 year Fairport Harbor resident, Gary was born on June 15, 1954 in Painesville. He passed away on June 30, 2014 at the Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland. He graduated from Riverside High School, class of 1972 and attended Lakeland Community College. Gary was a chemist for Ricerca Biosciences for 37 Yrs. He was a member of Grand River Sailing Club and enjoyed sailing, music, flying, and motorcycling.

He is survived by, Daughters, Megan (Tyler) Nelson of Wickliffe Jaclyn Sweetapple of Painesville Brother Dale Sweetapple of Willoughby Sisters, Lynda Protzman of Leroy Diane Jeray of Perry Former wife, Marian (Siskind) Sweetapple of Painesville Preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Jacqueline (Gifford) Sweetapple
