A Celebration of Life Gathering for Gene E. Palinkas II age 66 of Madison a lifelong Lake County resident will be held on Friday May 5, 2017 from 4-7 PM at the Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home 667 Mentor Ave. Painesville Ohio. Please dress in casual/sports attire.

Gene was the son of Gene E and Joan (Rushlow) Palinkas Sr. born on September 19, 1950 in Cleveland, Ohio and passed away May 2, 2017 at Tri Point Medical Center in Concord Twp. Ohio.

Gene was employed by Thermaform Plastics for several years He served in the U.S. Navy from 1974 until 1976 , was a member of American Legion Post 336 in Painesville, Perry AMVETS Post 1971 and the Hungarian Culture Club in Fairport Harbor. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns fan.

He is survived by

Wife Josephine (Gabrowshek) Palinkas, whom he married on June 11, 1977 sons, Gene E Palinkas III and Donald A. Palinkas, daughters, Kimberly (Chad) Ness and Sara L. Palinkas

Grandchildren Chelsea Lynn Ness, Audrey Rose Ness and Clayton Wayne Ness, mother Joan Rushlow, Brother Richard Palinkas and a sister Sue Voiles and a sister in Law Bonnie Palinkas, He also leaves many nieces and nephews

Preceded in death by his father, brother, Charles Palinkas and a sister Cindy Duplessis.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to his family.
