George Fremont Schinke, 88 formerly of 205 Linden Drive, Painesville Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday Oct. 26th 2014 at the Burton Health Care Center. George was born on Oct. 4th 1926 in Cleveland Ohio, a son of the late Walter and Ida Schinke. He was preceded in death by brothers Leslie (Les), Edwin (Ted), and Ray Schinke. George's beloved wife of 28 years Shirley Ann Schinke died Oct. 22nd 2013. He is survived by his brother Walter Schinke. George will be sadly missed by his children Danny (Bonnie) Schinke, Lynda (Anthony) Longo, Dale (Mona) Schinke, 6 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. George served in the U.S. Army during WW II. After working for Motor Express in Cleveland Ohio for many years he retired and then owned and ran a lawnmower repair shop with his brothers in Painesville Ohio. George so enjoyed gardening of fruits, vegetables, and his beautiful Rubaiyat roses. As per George's request, no calling hours will be observed and the funeral will be private at the convenience of the family. A private family viewing was held at the Spear Mulqueeny funeral home followed by a graveside service Thursday morning Oct. 30th 2014 in the Mentor Municipal Cemetery.
