Services for George Willhoite age 94  a  Painesville resident since 1941 will be Thursday at 12:00 PM  at the Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home 667 Mentor Ave. Painesville. Family and friends will be received from 11:00 until 12:00 Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery Painesville.

George was born January 6, 1923 in Owen County Kentucky and Passed away February 26, 2017 at Starkey Place Assisted Living in Painesville.

George was a member of Calvary Fellowship Baptist Church in Painesville and served in the US Marine Corps during WW II serving in the Pacific Theater. He retired from the WS Tyler Company in Mentor in 1983, was involved for many years with the Painesville Little League, enjoyed watching sports especially the Cleveland Indians and Ohio State Buckeyes.

He is survived by Grandchildren Jeffrey (Chris) Willhoite, Kelly (Stacy) Willhoite, Lori  (Brian) Beck, Michael (Theresa) Willhoite, Jessica (Joe) Buttari, Michael Willhoite, Jason Willhoite. Shawn Willhoite and Joshua (Kendra) Willhoite, 13 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren

Preceded  in death by his wife Frances in 2008, and  sons Kenneth, Steven and Mike Willhoite
