We are sad to announce the passing of Georgia Virginia Simons, age 91, on May 3, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born in Jonesville, Virginia to Curtis and Verna (Johnson) Kirk.

Virginia enjoyed dancing and loved a good party! More than anything, she loved spending time with her family.

She will forever be treasured in the hearts of her daughters, Debbie (Randy) Lefelhoc, Denise Dietz and son, David (Christine) Light, stepdaughters, Sue (Blaine) Shelton and Cindy (Dave) Deck. She leaves behind her grandchildren, Adam (fiancée Jessica Morgan) and Andrew (fiancée Vonnie Wilson) Lefelhoc, Vance (Katlyne) VanDriest, Greggory Light (fiancée Sara Swiger), Nathan Shelton, Jillian (Seth) Byers, Jeremiah (Sarah) and Zachariah (Teresa) Trench and Rebecca (Ben) Webster. Also left behind are great grandchildren Olivia (Lilly) VanDriest, who was the light of her life; Keagan and Megan Thoman, Sadie Kay Byers and Matilyn, William and Owen Webster.

She was preceded in death by her parents; stepson, Bill (Tommie) Simons; siblings, Jackie, Shirley, Cecil, Bob, Jimmy and J.B.; and husbands, Oliver John Fields and Ward Simons, who was the love of her life.

Family and friends will be received Monday, May 11, 2026, from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm, at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 pm, Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at the funeral home. The Burial will immeditely follow at Perry cemetery.
