Gina Lee Bayless, age 46, passed away June 6, 2022, at her residence in Geneva.  She was born February 29, 1976, in Painesville, Ohio to Richard D. and Linda (Bennett) Somppi.

Gina was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.  She graduated from Madison High School in 1994.  She loved sports and was an avid and faithful Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns fan.  Working as a waitress in the restaurant industry for many years, Gina developed a passion for cooking.  She loved preparing delicious meals to experience with her family.

She adored her three children and their golden retriever, Woody.  She was a dedicated parent and supported school functions with much joy.  Gina was a loyal friend and cherished spending her free time with family and friends watching movies and sitcoms.  Always being young at heart, Gina loved the magical world of Disney and enjoying her favorite sour candy, Warheads.

Gina is survived by her husband, Mark Bayless; sons, Drew and Richard Bayless; daughter, Emily Bayless; mother, Linda Somppi and brother, Jason Somppi (Chenita).

She was preceded in death by her father, Richard D. Somppi in 2009.

Friends will be received 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Friday, June 17, 2022, at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, OH.  Funeral Services will immediately follow at 1:00 PM.  Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
