Gordon E. "Rusty" Rostocil, age 91, passed away January 13, 2023, at his residence in Fairport Harbor.  He was born November 21, 1931, in Mentor to Frank and Ivy Rostocil.

Gordon worked for Lonza Manufacturing for many years and eventually retired from the company.  He served in the United States Army during the Korean War.  Gordon was a member of the VFW, the American Legion, and the FOE.  He was a huge Cleveland Browns fan and enjoyed golf, bowling, and his cigars.  He especially loved barbecuing and family picnics.

Gordon is survived by his daughters,  Lora (Andrew) Bienkowski, June Rostocil, Marjorie (John) Burchett, Kimberly (Michael) Butcher-Claypool, and Linda (Robert) Neal;thirteen Grandchildren and twelve Great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna B. (Miller) Rostocil in 2004; brothers, Theodore Rostocil and Gilmore Rostocil; sisters, Winifred Widgren, Paulina DeCola, Gloria Rostocil, and Eva McElravy; and his parents.

Friends will be received 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio. Funeral Services will immediately follow at 1:00 PM.  Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
