Funeral services for Harold A. "Hal" Walters will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 21st at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, OH.   Family and friends may call Friday, October 20th from 5:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Hal was born April 18, 1933 in Willoughby and passed away October 17, 2017 at Symphony at Mentor.

After serving in the U. S. Army, he was employed by the former Cleveland Crane Co. for many years and he retired from Avery Dennison in Painesville.  He enjoyed racing stock cars.  Hal also enjoyed roller skating…that is where he met the love of his life, Stella.

Hal is survived by his wife of 64 years, Stella (Lohr) Walters; son Tom (Lynette) Walters; daughters, Candy (Paul) Phipps and Sue (John) Sobolewski; grandchildren, David (Tiffany) Phipps and Brian (Kris) Phipps; great-grandchildren, Coleton, Hallie, Brenna, Amber and Lane Phipps.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hallie and Caroline (Fleck) Walters; and sisters, Lillian (Earl) Tonkin and Lucille (Bill) Miller.

The family would like to thank the staff of Symphony of Mentor for all the compassion and care given to their parents, at this time.
