Funeral services for Hilda (Fischer) Frecker, age 101, will be Saturday, February 25th at 10:00 AM at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville.  Family and friends may call Friday, February 24  from 4:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Born December 21, 1915 in Racine, Ohio she passed away February 19, 2017 at Altercare of Mentor.

Hilda worked at Higbees and Dillard's at the Great Lakes Mall.  She then worked at Kmart and Walmart  greeting customers  until she was 92 and still wasn't ready to stop working.  Her door was always open, and she always provided plenty of food and candy too. Her secret to longevity was taking care of her family, especially her son, Larry, cooking for Sunday dinners and always having a quilt in the works. She looked forward to planting flowers each spring and kept busy with cooking, cleaning, laundry, corresponding with her family in southern Ohio, and reading books. She hardly missed watching Indian's games the past couple seasons. She amazed us with her lively spirit and her feisty attitude gave us plenty of laughter. She never missed sending out birthday and Christmas cards every year to family members and friends. She was known as "Sis" or "Gram" to us all and we will miss her so much!

She is survived by her son, Larry Frecker; grandchildren, David (Carol) Frecker, Jeff Frecker, Tom Frecker and Terrina (Tim) Dickinson; great grandchildren, Racheal (Nathanael), Mark (Kathleen), Lydia, Daniel, Kristen (Patrick) and Kelly; great-great grandchildren, Nathanael, Nikolas, Michael and Demetrius.

Hilda was preceded in death by her husband, Tony; son, Donald Frecker; daughter-in-law, Tomi Frecker; grandson, Tony Frecker; brothers, Thurman Fischer and Frank Fischer; sisters; Gloria Michaels and Mary Porter.
