Hilja Sofia Kallio, age 91, of Fairport Harbor, passed away July 7, 2021, in Cleveland. She was born in Ullava, Finland May 22, 1930, to Matti and Helmi (Kalliomaa) Kallinki.

She enjoyed fishing, cooking, her children, grandchildren and Elvis Presley.

Hilja is survived by her daughter, Eila (Ted) Kallay and Eva (Ken) Wayner; grandchildren, Adam (Corie)) Kallay, Bryan (Cassi) Kallay, Jenny (Scott) Cavell, Matthew Wayner; great grandchildren, Colin, Cecelia, Josephine, Roman, Lincoln, Scott, Joseph, and Sofia; brothers, Pauli Lahti of Fairport Harbor, Alpo Lahti and Paavo Lahti and sisters, Liisa Hautamaki of Sweden; Aili Toyraskoski of Finland and brother, Jussi Kallinki of Finland

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kauno Kallio in 2015; parents; brothers, Matti Kallinki, Veikko Lahti and Viljo Lahti.

Family and friends will be received 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Friday, July 9, 2021, at Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Ave. Painesville, where Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 10, 2021. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Painesville.
