Funeral services for Irene DiNezza, of Painesville will be 10:30 AM, Saturday, September 23rd at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, OH.  Family and friends may call 9:30 to 10:30 AM, one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. DiNezza passed away September 20, 2017, at Symphony of Mentor with her family at her side.

Born November 9, 1929, in Cleveland, Irene grew up in the Buckeye Road neighborhood and was very proud of her Hungarian heritage.  She was a graduate of John Hay High School and worked as a secretary for Ohio Bell and Bank One.  An accomplished gardener, she enjoyed sharing her creations with friends and family, and won many ribbons at the Lake County Fair.  She played in ladies golf leagues at Painesville Country Club, Casement Golf Club and Madison Country Club and was a long-time member of the Painesville Lanes Koffee Klatch bowling league.  Irene and her husband, Don, were founding members of St. Gabriel's parish.  She volunteered at St. Gabriel's school and Riverside High School.

Irene is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 60 years, Don DiNezza; her loving daughters Roseanne Colleran (Gene) of Pittsburgh, PA, Janice Sanders (Tom) of Hawthorne, NY, and Susan Lettrich (Phil) of Kirtland, OH; grandchildren Gene and Joe Colleran, William and Katie Sanders, and Brian and Caroline Lettrich.   Her parents Rose and John Szucs predecease her.

Irene's family would like to thank the staff at Symphony and Great Lakes Home Health and Hospice for the wonderful care they provided.
