Irene (Drobnick)
Kovach
September 22, 1933 – October 17, 2022
Irene (Drobnick) Kovach passed away on October 17, 2022. She was born September 22, 1933 in Painesville Ohio to John and Josephine (Zalar) Drobnick.
Irene worked 25 years for Coe Manufacturing and Emmy's Beauty Salon. Irene was also a very proud homemaker raising three children. She insisted that her family always have "Perfect Hair" and spotless bedrooms.
Irene was a proud Slovenian and with her husband they would rule the dance floor when Polkas were being played. She loved cleaning, baking, listening to polka music, watching TV sports and attending her great grandchildren's sporting events. She soothed all the babies in her family singing Slovenian lullabies. Irene happily baked large quantities of ethnic pastries for weddings and numerous social gatherings.
Irene is survived by her son, Mark (Kathy) Kovach, Donna (Nick) Kosanovich, Lisa Wisen; grandchildren Shawna (Andrew Powers) Kovach, Jacqueline (Joey) Bruno, Nicholas (Eliza) Kosanovich, Lauren (Adam) Graf, Sarah Wisen; great grandchildren Jack, Julian, Juliana Bruno and Logan Kosanovich and brother John Drobnick.
She was preceded in death by her husband John (Jack) by 23 days, parents; John and Josephine, sister; Josephine (Josie) Miller and sister-in-law Betty Drobnick.
A special thank you to caregivers, Gail, Tiffany, Megan, Molly, Hospice of Western Reserve and beloved daughters Donna and Lisa.
