Isaac Raeburn Davison, 86 of Fairport Harbor, OH, passed from death to everlasting life at 5:30 pm Sunday January 29, 2017. Isaac-Raeburn to his family, Ike to his friends, Papap to most - was born on November 8, 1930 in Monongahela, PA to Isaac and Mary (Tuman) Davison.
He married Ruth (Gray) and after her passing, his abiding love Darlene (Gideon) likewise received to Glory.
His brother Harry, sisters Mary-Lou Fitch and Pauline Rue (IN) preceded him and is survived by Jackie Sheffey (HI) and Isabel Scott (IN).
His children, Jaqueline (Davison) Marshfield and Mary (Kuligowski) Hyslop preceded him and is survived by his two sons Rev. Frederick Elwood Davison and Harry Tuman Davison, and his step-daughters Robin (Gideon) Winzer, Rhonda (Gideon) Dulaney, Renee (Gideon) Molnar, Roberta (Gideon) Cain.
Isaac served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War and remained a member of Fairport Harbor VFW. He worked at Diamond Alkali until its closing and retired from Murphy Phoenix (Murphy's Oil Soap). He has been a member of Fairport's Congregational Church for more than 20 years and was baptized at age 74 by Freddie in his home.
Without a doubt, Isaac's greatest love is his huge family of childbirth, adoption, and marriage - grandchildren, great grandchildren and a myriad nieces and nephews.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, sports, news, politics, social issues and was a prolific poet.
Visitation will be Friday, February 3, 2017 at Fairport Harbor Congregational Church, 308 Third Street, from 11 to 2pm with Funeral Service at 2.00pm. A luncheon will be served for all immediately following, by the Church Ladies.
Interment will be Monday morning at Riverside Cemetery between his faithful brides Ruth and Darlene. Officiating will be his Pastor, Tina Green and his son, Padre Freddie Davison, who has been graced the privilege of further proclaiming the Gospel as a guest preacher and soloist.
