A gathering for the friends and family of James Robert "Chief" Turner, age 78, will be from 5-8pm Thursday at Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home 667 Mentor Ave. Painesville.

A resident of Eastlake, James was born on May 9, 1937 in Pennsylvania and passed away on Dec. 7, 2015 at David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland

He was the owner of Euclid Body and Frame Company for 44 yrs. "Chief" served in the US Navy as a deep sea demolition Specialist. He enjoyed scuba diving, boating, Classic Cars, flying airplanes.

He is survived by, Wife of 57 yrs., Betty Sons, James and Jerry Grandchildren, Angela Turner and Daniel Fracci Sister, Mary Atkinson Preceded in death by, Grandson, Michael James Parents, Robert and Grace (Heller) Turner Brother, Richard Sister, Helen Hotchkiss
