James Harris Lawson, age 75, passed away July 6, 2022, at Tri Point Medical Center in Concord Township.  He was born April 7, 1947, in McMinnville, Tennessee to Santford and Ollie (Boyd) Lawson.

James served in the United States Marine Corps in Vietnam 1968 – 1970.  He was employed by the Eltech Corporation as a plant technician.  James loved fishing on a quiet lake.  He also enjoyed yardwork, working in his garage, playing the lottery, video poker and slot machines.  But most of all he loved spending time with his family.  Family time was most important to him.

James is survived by his wife, Nancy Lawson; sons, James "Jamie" (Charlotte) Lawson and Jason Lawson; daughter, Marcia Lawson (fiancée, Dave Cartwright); grandchildren, Dolores and Katherine.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dolores (Baxter) Lawson; brother, Thomas Lawson; sister, Nancy Walker, and his parents.

Friends will be received 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio.  Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 13th at the funeral home.
