Mass of Christian Burial for James Thomas Pillar will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 14, 2018 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 523 Plum Street, Fairport Harbor.  Family and friends may call from 4:00-7:00 PM, Friday, July 13th at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio.  Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

James was born January 19, 1935 in Cleveland to Andrew and Theresa (Dolinsky) Pillar.  He passed away July 11, 2018 at Tri-Point Medical Center in Concord Township with his family by his side.

He was employed by the Avery Dennison Company and retired after many years of service.  He enjoyed woodworking, bowling, and coaching his daughters' baseball teams in his younger years.  Recently, his favorite things to do were watch sunsets with his family, have conversations with his grandchildren, and just be with "the love of his life" Marcia.

James is survived by his wife, Marcia (Rich) Pillar; daughters, Lori Pillar and Lisa (Michael) Woodcock; brother, Andrew (Elda) Pillar; grandchildren, Kelly Pillar, Christopher Woodcock, Emily Woodcock,  and Grace Woodcock.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Lynne Pillar; brother, Ray Pillar; sisters, Grace Pillar and Carol Pillar.
