James E. Trader, age 87, passed away at Lake Med Nursing and Rehab in Painesville Township on February 9, 2021.  He was born May 5, 1933 in Clarksburg, West Virginia to Lloyd C. and Ruby Pearl (Hutson) Trader.

James was a custodian for the Painesville City Schools for over 21 years and he also worked for IRC Fibers, the former Rayon, for over 21 years.    He was an excellent woodworker and leather craftsman.  He enjoyed participating in craft shows around the area, where he sold many of the beautiful items he made.

James is survived by his wife, Shirley (Crabtree) Trader; brother, Gale Trader of Clarksburg, West Virginia; son, James Thomas Trader of Mentor; stepchildren, Ginger Didino of Wickliffe, and Rick (Lynn) Holmes of Reno, Nevada; step-grandchildren, Michelle and Crystal Holmes.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Everett Trader.

Chapel services will be held on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, 11521 Chillicothe Road, Chesterland, Ohio.
