"Mom" " Grammy" "Mother Goose"
Funeral services for Jane T. Mastro will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at St. Cyprian Church, 4223 Middle Ridge Road, Perry, OH. Family and friends will be received 4:00-8:00 PM, Tuesday at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, OH.
Jane will be remembered as a sweet, kind, selfless, caring person with a HUGE heart and a great sense of humor despite living with the exhaustion of heart failure for 18 years. She welcomed all whom she encountered, and embraced them as though they were long-time friends. Never one to complain, she had a great smile, loved to laugh, and had a "can do" spirit. Her zest for life took her and loved ones on many awesome and sometimes unexpected adventures.
Some of Jane's favorite activities included being an avid reader, cooking for family, playing Scrabble, crosswords, cards, Trivial Pursuit and other board games with friends and family. She loved the outdoors, especially hiking and taking the "scenic route" on long drives. She was an enthusiastic Indians and Browns fan and eagerly awaited Game Day! Jane was always the optimist! She was thankful for each new day and appreciated the beauty and whimsy of life even on the stormiest of days.
Jane was the BEST wife, mom, and Grammy that we could ask for! A devoted Grammy, she always looked forward to the next concert, sporting event, or school program. Through Wednesday night dinners, Birthday Teas, and Christmas Eve chaos, she began and embraced many beloved family traditions. She was a lovely person who was ALWAYS there for us, and to say that she will now be enormously missed is a tremendous understatement!!!
Survivors are her husband, Paul Mastro; son Larry (Fran) Repko Jr. of Madison; daughters, Marlene (Allan) LeSuer of Madison and Allison (Mark) Leopold of Painesville Twp.; daughter-in-law Debbie Repko of Stow; grandchildren Andy (Alicia) Repko, Corey (Samantha) Repko, Luke (Anzhelika) Repko, Larry III, Jacob, Josh, Eli, Olivia, Catherine, Ben, Alicia, Jordan, Rachael, Zachary, Andrew, and Aidan; great- grandchildren, Ava, A.J., Avner, and Brantley: brother, Lawrence (Jan) Vallo.
She was preceded in death by her parents Peter and Mary Vallo; son Peter Repko; grandson Logan Repko, and granddaughter Abby Leopold; brothers, Richard, Donny, Jim, Tony; sisters, Frances and Maryanne.
