Funeral services for Jean Dilisio, age 93, will be 12:00 PM, Friday, March 10th at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville.  Family and friends will be received 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the funeral home.

Jean was born September 30, 1923 in Painesville and passed away March 8, 2017 at David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland.

Jean was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary Church.  She was a volunteer at the Painesville Senior Center and was also an avid swimmer at the YMCA.  Cooking was one of her greatest pleasures...she was a phenomenal Italian cook and loved to bake.  The most important thing in her life was her family.

Jean is survived by her son, D. J. (Diana) Dilisio of Madison, daughters, Mary Ellen (Larry) Mussig of Cincinnati, Kathy Sassano of Mentor, Bonnie (Terry) Barnett of Mentor and Cheri Almond of Painesville; ten grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan J. Dilisio in 2012; son-in-law, Gus Sassano in 2009; brothers, Frank Messina and Sam Messina; sisters, Frances Dienes, Beatrice Turbok and Rose Caione.
