Memorial services for Jean Palinkas, age 77, of Mentor on the Lake will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, January 9th, 2021 at Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue Painesville. Family and friends received from 12:00 Noon until time of service.

Jean was born July 13th, 1943 in Martins Ferry, OH to Joseph and Freda (Abraham) Shartz. She passed away January 3rd, 2021 in Willoughby, OH.

She worked many years in data entry and file maintenance. She enjoyed Bingo, playing the lottery, watching birds and squirrels, and most of all spending time with family and friends. Jean was a very friendly and caring person, and considered a second mom by many.

Jean is survived by her sons; John Palinkas, Roger (Lisa Glasgow)

Palinkas; daughter, Donna (Steven) Katko; grandson, Myron; brother, Rick (Rebecca) Shartz; sisters, Shirley Fizer and Joan Shartz.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John E. Palinkas, and sister, Georgette Kerestesy.
