Jeanne M. Carpenter, age 74, of Willoughby. Passed away January 26, 2022, in Cleveland Ohio

She grew up in Painesville, Ohio, the daughter of Andrew and Priscilla Pearl (Starr) Hido.

Jeanne is survived by her daughter, Melissa (David) Creed of Lawrenceville, Ga.: son, Eric Downing of Ohio: sister Linda (Larry) Cave of Camden, Ar.

Granddaughter Emily Creed and grandsons, Jeremy Downing and Lane Downing.

She is a graduate of Riverside High School, Class of 1965. She received an Associate Degree from Lakeland Community College, class of 1980. She also earned a bachelor's degree in science from Lake Erie College in 1986.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husbands, James C. Downing and Marvin Carpenter.

She loved her grandchildren more than anything in this world. Her favorite pastime was seeing plays at Playhouse Square.

Funeral Services will be held 12:00 noon Monday, January 31st, 2022, at Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville. The family will receive friends Monday from 10:00 AM until time of service.

In lieu of flowers the family requests for donations to be made in her name to the Shriners Hospital for Children in Greenville, South Carolina.
