Jeffrey Allen Oberstar, age 55, of Trumbull Township, passed away suddenly at University Hospitals of Geneva, July 24, 2021.

He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on October 23,1965 to Richard and Judy (Gullo) Oberstar.

He was a graduate of Harvey High School, Class of 1984. Jeff worked as a supervisor for the Lake County Engineer's office and at JTO for many years.

Jeff was a wonderful, caring and genuinely nice guy.  He was much loved by family, friends and everyone who knew him.  He will be greatly missed.

Jeffrey is survived by his wife and best friend, Sherry (Simmons) Oberstar; daughter, Kaitlyn (Chad) Weinhold; his mother, Judy Oberstar, who affectionately called him "Jeffy Honey"; his brother, Richard Oberstar Jr; his sisters, Julie (Geoff Galarza) Oberstar, Terri Oberstar, Lisa Oberstar; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, Kyle Johnston and his father, Richard Oberstar Sr.

Family and friends will be received 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, immediately followed by a Memorial Service at 7:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Jeff's name to a charity/organization of your choice.
