Jennie Sorine, age, 97, a Perry resident since 1950, passed away April 25, 2020 at Brookdale Assisted Living in Mentor. She was born December 30, 1922 in Galloway W. Va. to James and Ageta (Manfredi) Mellie.

She was married to Tony Sorine for 67 years. (He preceded her in death on  October 10, 2005). She worked at the Rayon in Painesville. After the birth of her fourth son she became a stay at home mom, and enjoyed watching her sons' sporting events.  Jennie enjoyed music, dancing and traveling to Hawaii, Europe, and West Virginia. In her free time, Jennie spent many hours volunteering at St Cyprian Church.

Jennie is survived by her sons; Jim Sorine ( Sue Powell ) of Mentor, Skip (Cathy) Sorine of Chardon, Michael (Amy) Sorine of Perry; grandchildren, Tracy, Tricia, Angie, Michael, Nina, and Anna and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; son, John Sorine, and sisters; Mary Lopez, Elizabeth Pellegrino and Josephine Lacare.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Cyprian Church 4223 Middle Ridge Road Perry, Ohio 44081 at a later date. Private family interment services have been held at Perry Cemetery.
