Memorial services and reception honors for Gerald W. "Jerry" Ondo, Sr. age 73, will be 12:00 pm (Noon) Saturday, March 12, 2016 at American Legion, Post 336, 60 Chester Street Painesville.

A lifetime Lake County resident, Jerry was born on September 27, 1942 in Fairport Harbor. He passed away on March 7, 2016 at TriPoint Medical Center in Concord Twp.

Mr. Ondo served in the US Navy aboard the USS Sierra (AD-18). He was an Electrician with Local Union 673 in Mentor and retired from the Maintenance Dept. at the Perry Local Schools. He also owned and operated the Rock-Eye Fishing Charter. He held a Charter Captains license for 25 yrs.

Jerry was a member of, Hungarian Culture Club in Fairport Harbor AMVETS Post 1971 in Perry American Legion, Post 336 in Painesville V.F.W., Post 7754 in Fairport Harbor

Survived by, Wife, Karen (Wheeler) Ondo, whom he married on Friday, August 13, 2005 Son, Gerald "Jerry" (Marcia) Ondo, Jr. of Fairport Harbor Daughter, Leah (Rick) Walczak of Kitchener, Ontario, Canada Grandchildren, Terri, Matt, Tyler, Ryan, Morgan, Matthew and Sara Brother, David (Gabby) Ondo of Painesville Preceded in death by, Parents, John and Marion (Starkey) Ondo Brothers, John, James, and Richard Ondo
