A Mass of Christian Burial for Jessie D. Markovic will be held at 10 AM Thursday, October 5, 2017 at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, 8540 Mentor Avenue, Mentor.

The family will receive friends at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home 667 Mentor Ave, Painesville, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Wednesday.

Burial will be at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chesterland.

Jessie was born February 12, 1922 in Burlington, N. J. to Calogero and Angelina (Conti) Trovato.  She passed away September 30, 2017 at Hospice House in Cleveland.

She worked at Newberry's Department Store as sales manager in the Fabric Department. Jessie was an avid reader, she loved crocheting, sewing and was famous for her home baked cookies.

She is survived by her sons, Paul Markovic, Steven Markovic and Bob Trovato; daughters, Barbara Shambaugh and Kathy Smith; grandchildren Vincenzo Trovato M.D. and Angelina Trovato.

She was preceded in death by her husband William P. Markovic; brother, Vincenzo Trovato and sister, Elvira Coumbe.
