A Memorial Mass celebrating the life of Joan Louise Vendely, 88, will be 10:00 AM Tuesday May 29, 2018 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 9925 Johnnycake Ridge Road, Concord Township, Ohio.

Mrs. Vendely was born May 19, 1930 in Niagara Falls, New York and passed away May 21, 2018 at Tri-Point Medical Center in Concord Township.

Joan worked for the Niagara Power Company and Sanderson's Gift Shop in Painesville.  She was a member of St. Gabriel Church, Beta Sigma Phi and the VFW. Over the course of her married life she lived in Painesville and later Mentor, with her husband Elmer, and during their many travels across the world, they also took vacation at property in Marco Island, Florida.

She is survived by her son, Robert J. Vendely of South Euclid; daughter, Joanne L. Boston of California; four grandchildren (Michael and Frank Vendely, David and Jennifer Boston) and two great-grandchildren (Mason Boston and Jaxton Milinichik).

Joan was preceded in death by her loving husband, Elmer Vendely; grandchild, Shelly Boston; parents, Harold and Dorothy (Lashway) Buckhout; sisters, Jean Gould and Nancy Eddy.
