Joan Ratchko, age 84, passed away January 9, 2022, in Painesville.  She was born November 3, 1937, in Cleveland to Arthur and Helen (Miller) Harris.

Joan worked for Neff Perkins in the accounting department for over 30 years, retiring in 2002.   She was also very active with the Lake Erie Girl Scout Council for over 45 years.

Joan enjoyed volunteering at Carolina Hospitals for 16 years.  She loved camping, sewing, ceramics, and most of all spending time with her family.

Joan is survived by her children, Christina (Stephen) Parsons, James Ratchko, Stephanie (Keith) Rouer, Mary Ann (Feliciano) Gamez, Therese Bouali and Lori (Tom) Merdita; sixteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren, and four nieces.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Ratchko in 2007; sons, Ronald Ratchko and David Ratchko; sister, Miriam McNickle; brother, Arthur Harris, and her parents.

Friends will be received 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, Saturday, January 15, 2022, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 242 North State Street, Painesville.  Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:00 noon.   Interment at Perry Cemetery will be private.
