Joan Edith Polakowski, age 91, passed away June 22, 2022, at her residence.  She was born May 18, 1931, in Cleveland to Gilbert and Edith Blanche (Bennett) Sindledecker.

Joan was a member of St. John Vianney Church in Mentor.   She worked for South High School in Willoughby as a secretary for many years and she enjoyed gardening and baking.

Joan is survived by her children, Thomas (Carol) Polakowski, Timothy (Lisa) Polakowski, Sharon (Robert) Isabella, Susan (Keith) Kauffman, and Sandy (Frank) Kolasinski; survived by 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Polakowski, daughter, Sally Polakowski, brother, Sindy Sindledecker and sister, June Hubish.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 AM, Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at St. John Vianney Church, 7575 Bellflower Road in Mentor. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon.
