John A. (Buddy) Wayner, Jr., 78, passed away on November 6, 2022 at UH Tri-Point Medical Center. He was born on October 5, 1944 to John and Joanna (Jennie) Wayner and grew up in Fairport Harbor where he lived most of his life. He worked many years in the fiberglass mold industry as well as various factory jobs. Buddy had many interests throughout his life. He was an avid runner back in the day and ran many marathons and 10k races. He also loved hot rod cars and owned quite a few of them over the years. He enjoyed golfing local courses and deer hunting in southern Ohio with close friends from Fairport. In recent years, he took pride in keeping his yard beautiful with all kinds of flowers and yard ornaments. Buddy was a good artist and painted hundreds and hundreds of rocks for the #Fairport Seniors Rock. He also loved scratchies (lottery tickets) and was frequently seen down at Steele's Plaza.

He is survived by his two brothers, Bob and Don (Diane); his niece, Heidi Wayner; great nephew, Daniel (Angela) Ruvalcaba; great niece, Jenni Ruvalcaba; and great-great nephew, Jason Ruvalcaba as well as many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Joanna (Jennie) Wayner and niece, Laura Ruvalcaba.

The family will receive friends on Monday, November 14, 2022 at Mulqueeny-Spear Funeral Home, 312 Eagle Street, Fairport Harbor from 4:00-6:00pm with a small service conducted by Father Pete Mihalic immediately following the visitation. Inurnment will be at Riverside Cemetery at a later date.
