John E. Janota, age 85, of Fairport Harbor, OH passed away July 3, 2022, at Lake West Hospital in Willoughby, OH. He was born July 21, 1936, in Cleveland, OH to John and Anna (Vondrasek) Janota.

He was a graduate of East Technical High School, Class of 1955. John enjoyed bowling, watching hockey, and baseball.

He is survived by his sons; Joseph Janota of Painseville Twp, Jim (Shelly) Janota of Concord Twp, and daughter, Kim Ball of Eastlake; grandchildren, Kaitlin (Dan) Valdivia, Joseph E. Janota Jr., and Jessica and Jeremy Janota; and sister, Bernice Dellanno of Cleveland.

John was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Janota; sons, Allan P. Janota & William "Billy" Janota and son-in-law, Donald V. Ball Jr.

Family and friends will be received 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Thursday July 7, 2022, at Mulqueeny-Spear Funeral Home 312 Eagle Street Fairport Harbor, OH, where funeral services will be held Friday July 8, 2022, at 10AM. Interment will be held at Mentor Cemetery.
