Mass of Christian Burial for John Kutie age 90 a lifetime resident of Painesville will be 9:30 AM, Thursday at St. Mary Catholic Church 242 North State St. Painesville. Family and friends may call from 3:00-7:00 PM, Wednesday at the Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home 667 Mentor Ave. Painesville. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery Painesville.

Born October 28, 1926 in Painesville and passed away January 1, 2017 at Governors Point Assisted Living in Mentor.

John was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Painesville the American Slovenian Club in Fairport Harbor, Hungarian Culture Club in Fairport Harbor, V.F.W. Post 7754 in Fairport Harbor. He served in the US Navy during WW II.

He was employed by the former Diamond Shamrock for 33 years and Avery Dennison (Fasson) for 13 years.

John is survived by his daughters, Meg (Pete Jancar) Kapostasy and Diane Kutie; Long-time friend, Helen Holly.Grandchildren Dan Kapostasy and Jennifer (Jeff) Droege Great grandchildren William and Jacob Droege

He was preceded in death by his wife Adeline (Zuzek) Kutie in 1994; parents, Gabor and Theresa (Kapostas) Kutie; brothers, Elmer Kutie and Gabriel Kutie; sisters, Irene Johnson, Annie Kutie, Theresa Roberts, Mary Turbok and Julia Weekly.
