John McElfish age, 72, was born on February 12, 1951, in Cumberland Maryland to Karl and Harriet (Hughs) McElfish and passed away on April 17, 2024, at Legacy of Mentor.

John was employed at U.S Steel and Laketran.

John is survived by his sons, Karl (Amy) McElfish, Chris McElfish; daughter, Kathy McElfish; grandchildren, Joshua, Karen and Ryan.

He was preceded in death by his wife Karen, brother Rosco McElfish, and sister Barbara Kiel

Family and friends will be received Sunday April 21,2024, from 2:00-4:00 PM at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Ave., Painesville OH.  Services will be Monday April 22, 2024, at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Painesville following the service.
