Obituary

John L. Sampson age 87 a resident of Painesville since 1951 formerly of West Virginia was born on December 27, 1930 in Sutton West Virginia and passed away February 14, 2018 at Tri Point Medical Center in Concord Twp.

He retired from Oster Tyler Manufacturing after many years of service. He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War.  John loved gardening and most of all his family.  John 's door was always open to family and friends. He loved being outside, working in the garden or fixing anything in the back garage. He had the biggest heart and always made time to sit and listen to you.  He loved raising chickens and all God's animals.

He is survived by his wife Anna (Taylor) Sampson, Children Sandra (Joe) March, John Sampson, Ronnie (Trisha) Sampson

Grandchildren Alisha (Bernd) Lecjaks, William March, Alizabeth Sampson, Zackary Sampson, Ally Chamar, and John Sampson Jr.

Great Grandchildren Brandon Lecjaks, Andrew Lecjaks, Bree Lejacks, Jason Lejacks and Owen Lecjaks

He was preceded in death by his daughter Debbie Sampson and his parents

Family and friends may call from 2-4 PM on Sunday at the Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home 667 Mentor Ave. Painesville. Services will be at 4:00 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.

Graveside services will be Tuesday at 10:00 AM at Riverside Cemetery 385 Riverside Drive in Painesville
