Josephine Grof, age 74, passed away April 5, 2022, in Ashtabula.  She was born May 26, 1947, in Cleveland to Louis and Josephine (Mauer) Valich.

Josephine worked for the Lake County Auditor's Office for many years.  She was a member of St. Cyprian Catholic Church and a volunteer for St. Cyprian's Bereavement Ministry, working on the funeral luncheons.  She was also a member of the NEO Model A Ford Club.

She enjoyed crocheting, loved to cook, taking trips with her model A friends, fellowshipping with her "bingo buddies", but most of all spending time with her family - especially with her son, daughter in law and grandchildren.

Josephine is survived by husband of 45 years, William Grof; son, John (Jessica) Grof; grandchildren, Emma and Carter; and brother, Louis (Sharon) Valich.

She was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather, Charles Kapel; and brother Rudolph (Rudy) Valich.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at St. Cyprian Catholic Church, 4223 Middle Ridge Road, Perry, Ohio.  Friends will be received 4:00-7:00 PM, Monday, April 18, 2022, at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville.   Burial will be in Perry Cemetery.
